About Us

Vascular Education Foundation was founded by Dr. P C Gupta, a globally recognized vascular and endovascular surgeon with over 30 years of experience. As the Clinical Director and Head of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, Intervention radiology and Podiatry surgery at CARE Hospitals in Hyderabad, Dr. Gupta has successfully treated thousands of patients worldwide, earning acclaim for his expertise in complex procedures like aortic and carotid surgeries. His groundbreaking work includes the world’s first reported carotid aneurysm surgery during pregnancy, and he has contributed to over 25 scientific publications, including the Global Vascular Guidelines for chronic limb-threatening ischemia. Dr. Gupta’s leadership extends to his role as Ex President of the Vascular Society of India and  the World Federation of Vascular Societies. His commitment to education is evident in his role as a teacher and examiner for DrNB in Vascular Surgery, as well as his editorial contributions to leading journals like the Indian Journal of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery and the European Journal of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.

Dr. Gupta’s vision for the foundation stems from his passion for bridging the gap between advanced vascular science and public understanding. He founded Vascular Education Foundation  to ensure that patients and professionals alike have access to clear, reliable resources to improve vascular health outcomes.

Personal Journey

Dr. P C Gupta’s commitment to vascular health is deeply personal. Early in his career, while training at prestigious institutions like the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, PGIMER Chandigarh, he witnessed the profound impact of vascular diseases on patients’ lives—often compounded by a lack of awareness or access to care. A defining moment came during his fellowship in Nagoya University School of Medicine, Japan, where he saw how education and early intervention could transform outcomes for patients with conditions like varicose veins and aortic aneurysms and limb ischemia. This experience, coupled with his encounters with patients facing preventable complications inspired him to establish Vascular Education Foundation. Dr. Gupta’s personal mission is to demystify vascular health, making it easier for individuals to recognize symptoms, seek timely care, and live healthier lives. His compassionate approach and dedication to patient-centered care continue to guide the Foundation’s work. In addition, he is part of an international group of leading Vascular experts working with a vision to globally reduce limb amputation rates.
